ECONYL® - Regenerated Yarn

Regenerated nylon is produced entirely from unnecessary waste from all over the world, including fishing nets, fabric scraps from factories, and carpets. Otherwise, some of this waste would end up in landfills or float in the ocean, threatening marine life. With a unique system, ECONYL® creates yarn from 100% regenerated nylon. This means that no new resources are required to make yarn that feels and behaves just like regular nylon.

Regenerated nylon with a special regeneration process is more than just standard yarn. Discover why by learning about their four-stage process of turning waste into treasure:

We start by rescuing and transporting waste that would otherwise pollute the Earth to one of their sorting facilities. Here, fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet coverings, or industrial waste are sorted. In the next stage - the regeneration process - these waste materials are cleaned and transformed back to their original form. Once ECONYL® regenerated nylon is available in its pure form, it can be turned into textile yarn or yarn for carpets. This remake allows using the yarn in the fashion or interior industry, just like primary nylon would be used.

In addition to sustainability, fabrics made from ECONYL® yarn are lightweight, super soft, flexible, and breathable, making them ideal for sportswear. By using regenerated nylon, we can contribute to reducing the impact of the textile industry on the environment.
